In August 2026, ~200 teachers from PM SHRI schools across multiple districts in Chhattisgarh attended an intensive training on climate change, disasters, hazards, and vulnerabilities.

 

The sessions went beyond theory, teachers engaged in hands-on activities, including group work to design their own School-specific Climate Action Plans.

Their presentations were inspiring and included proposals for :
♻️ Zero Waste Zones on campus

🌳 Tree plantation programs through “Tree–Student Friends” by giving names to trees and one student dedicated for one plant to ensure effective plantation

💧 Student committees to monitor tap leakages and promote water conservation
